The construction of our new 1,000,000-gallon water tower is underway to improve water pressure, ensure future capacity, and support fire protection services across the community. This investment supports long-term system reliability and growth.

Lewes BPW’s logo will be seen, along with the city crest, on the new water tower when entering Lewes from Kings Highway.
Cape Henlopen School District’s logo will be on the opposite side of the tank and will be visible from the football field.

Will water service be affected?
No interruptions are expected. All work is scheduled to avoid disruption to existing service.
How is this project funded?
A loan from the Delaware Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, through the Delaware Department Health and Social Services (DHSS).
