In 2015 the Delaware State Legislature approved an updated Lewes BPW Charter (Lewes BPW – City of Lewes Charter). This document governs the operations of the Lewes BPW and was the foundational document for the Lewes BPW By-Laws.
The water department is responding to a water main break at the corner of Fourth Street and Park Ave. Some nearby customers may not have water right now. Crews are on the scene to fix the pipe and restore service as fast as possible.
